BlueChasm Powers AI SaaS Platform with Mark III and AWS

Business Challenge

Media libraries often contain large numbers of video clips that are difficult to locate. In addition, videos often contain hidden data that would be useful to know, such as camera angles, audio segments and specific content details. Because of the number of files, the length of videos and the difficulty of manual categorization, enterprises often fail to unlock the potential of their video libraries.

Transformation

The solution built is BlueChasm’s Video Recon platform, a SaaS-based platform that uses AWS key services under the covers with its own unique algorithms, including ECS, EC2, S3, and AWS Lambda to “watch” and “listen” to streams of video data and auto-tag them with metadata for identification and classification. Users can then easily click through the tags to gain insights about the nature of the video, audio object or event before moving it into a production workflow.

As part of the transformation engagement, BlueChasm’s dev team engaged Mark III and its team of consultants and engineers to provide expertise, consulting, and hands-on assistance all around AWS services to help get the AI pipeline up and going.  This assistance included basic smooth start services, but also some custom code in terms of wrappers and ongoing operational assistance, especially around IaaS best practices and integration.

Benefits

The solution built by BlueChasm can save hours of manual review by recognizing and tagging content automatically, leading to innovative consumer and industrial applications for their customers. Video recognition technology can help editors quickly find and prepare video segments for posting or production, consumers can easily discover online video clips they’re interested in, and automated video analysis can reduce the need for human monitoring of hazardous areas and security footage.  A strong partnership with both Mark III and AWS helped ensure that the pipeline and platform were built well initially and now ready to capture any future scale.
